Progressive Dinner

Eight years ago, Louise and I started the first Progressive Dinner Cruise. Since then the folks from South and North of the Grand Canal have taken turns opening their homes hosting the venues. It has proved to be one of our most popular events. It is a time when both cruisers and racers join in the festivities. This year it's again the folks on the South end to host the event.

As in the past, boaters will anchor their boats in Lake Shepard and dinghy to the four locations on Saturday evening and the 5th location Sunday for breakfast. Lake Shepard is located just south of the Tortoise Island Bridge on the east side of the Grand Canal in Satellite Beach. When entering the lake, be sure to stay in the center as it shoals on both sides. Average depth is around 20'. If you are unable to join the dinghy convoy, you are welcome to join us by automobile.

Those individuals with last names beginning with A-L, please bring appetizers or finger foods to be shared at location #1 for Happy Hour. Those with last names beginning with M-Z, are asked to bring a dessert to share at location #4. You are also asked to bring your own beverages and folding chairs to the various venues. The Saturday event will end after dark, so bring lights and required items for your dinghy.

On Sunday at 8a.m., we will dinghy to location #5 for breakfast. It's potluck, so bring a dish to share.
