Join us on Saturday, February 27th for ECSA’s 10th Annual Mardi Gras cruise and Space Coast’s 19th Annual New Orleans Street Party.   There is live music on several stages. Food, drinks, novelties and a street party complete with tons and tons of beads, doubloons and prizes for all.  For more information - log on to:  www.spacecoastmardigras.com.

For those arriving by boat, we will anchor on the SW side of State Road 520, south of the power lines. (Lat: 28 Deg 21.25 Min N  Lon: 80 Deg 43.35 Min W)

Food & beverages are available within Cocoa Village during the evening.  However, a large group will walk over to a nearby Mexican restaurant to fill up on tortilla chips and Mexican fare prior to the parade/street party.   We will gather by the entrance of Lee Wenner Park (directly across from the boat ramp) at 6:00 p.m. and walk to dinner.  After dinner, we will  try to gather our group together for the parade, approximately 30 minutes (or more) before the parade starts “around” 9:00 p.m. (The earlier you are there the better chance in a front row spot). Look for us near the courtyard/gazebo area.

Tickets are required for the event if you enter after 5 p.m. on Saturday.  Discount tickets are available prior to the event.  Please either sign up at the February General Membership Meeting or send an e-mail to bmerch@cfl.rr.com, and Dave and I will purchase advanced tickets for you.  Tickets at the gate are $12 and advanced tickets are $8 per person  You may also purchase advance tickets yourself through various pre-sale ticket locations—check the Mardi Gras website for more details.

The following morning, boaters are invited to join in a potluck breakfast at the Lee Wenner Park pavilion at 0800 prior to sailing to our home ports. As Dave and I are hosting the event; please contact either of us if you have any questions.  Dave’s cell is 321-394-1297 and Brenda’s is 321-917-3698.

Remember:  No “pre” beading allowed!
