MARKER 21 CRUISE

The Marker 21 spoil island cruise is scheduled for August 15-16. No restaurant, no reservations, come as you are.  Join us on the west shore of the island for a 5 pm potluck dinner on Saturday.  We will provide plates, forks, and napkins.  Bring a dish to share, plus your own beverages, cups and chairs.  Our potluck contribution will be a repeat of the ribs that were so popular last year.  If it's cool enough, we'll try to build a bonfire.  Breakfast will be equally informal, at 8:30 am Sunday morning .  Bring your own coffee and something to share.

Our gathering spot is the spoil island just west of the ICW at marker 21, a little over 6 nautical miles south of the Melbourne causeway.  From the channel just north of marker 20 (27° 59.58'N  80° 32.49'W) head towards the anchorage on the northwest side of the island (approximate bearing from the channel is 245M).  Depth is 6 to 7 feet for most of the area, even fairly close to the island.  Don't try to go all the way around the island; there is a sandy spit that runs out from the island in a southwest direction.

We hope to see you there!
